AI workflow audit · £750 fixed · Brighton

I'll find you seven hours a week, or you pay nothing.

You haven't had a spare Tuesday to work out which bits of AI apply to your business. Forty-five minutes on how your week runs, then a report naming the tools that win the hours back.

£750 fixed · money-back guarantee

Owner-run businesses of 8 to 40 people, in Brighton and across the UK. Estate agents, care providers, solicitors, clinics, kitchen firms, record labels.

Most of what I prescribe is off-the-shelf and costs about £45 a month all in. A custom build starts at £2,000, and the audit tells you whether you need one.

No client write-ups yet. They go on /proof the moment an audit has shipped.

Where a small business week actually goes

You spend nearly twice as long on admin as on winning work.

The guarantee

Refund clause

If I can't find you seven hours a week within 30 days of the review call, you get every pound back.

The tools I prescribe usually come to about £45 a month. Seven is the refund threshold rather than an average: real hours go on /proof once an audit has shipped.

Who it's for

Owner-run businesses of 8 to 40 people

Big enough that admin is a real cost, small enough that you still decide. Strong reviews, a week that still runs on people.

Estate & lettings

The instruction usually goes to whoever calls back first, so a valuation enquiry that sits for an hour is one you might have lost. Landlord updates and vendor chasing go out whenever somebody happens to have a gap.

Home care

Families ring on a Sunday evening and hear nothing until Monday, by which point some of them have rung somebody else. The update to the family after a visit is still a round of phone calls.

Solicitors

Chasing ID, searches and the other side eats the day, and none of it is the legal work you are actually paid for. I stay well away from the advice and go after the chasing.

Clinics

Appointments nobody confirmed, treatment plans nobody followed up, and enquiries for one site landing in another site's inbox.

Kitchens & trades

A quote goes out and then nothing happens for a week, because following it up is nobody's actual job. Calls after six go to voicemail and a fair few of those never ring back.

Labels & music

Labels, managers, PR agencies, studios, and artists putting records out themselves. This is the week I work in myself, so I know where it goes.

The audit works the same way across every sector. If you are in Brighton or Hove, see the Brighton audit page for local details. Industry-specific examples: estate agents, home care, solicitors, and music PR.

How it works

01

Discovery call

A 45-minute call where I map how work actually moves through your week: where the hours quietly disappear, and where your information actually lives.

02

Analysis

I work through everything you told me and pick the three to seven off-the-shelf tools that will save you the most time.

03

The report

A plain report: the tools, what each costs in pounds, how long to set up, the hours saved, and a four-day plan you can run in ten minutes a day.

04

Review call

A 30-minute walkthrough of the report. I show you how each piece works and answer every question, so you can start on Monday.

Why take the advice from me

The tools I prescribe are the ones I run myself.

Chris Schofield

I build and run this software myself. Over the last year I shipped TAP, SpotCheck, Newsjack and Datasink, and all four are still in production. The tools I put in your report are ordinary ones I already run, so I know what they cost and where they break.

Everything after the music.

You finished the track. Getting it heard is seven disconnected jobs: finding the right contacts, writing a pitch that does not sound like a template, sending it, chasing it, and working out afterwards whether any of it landed. TAP does all of that in one place, for £59 a release with no subscription. It was built for agencies first, then rebuilt for the artists doing it themselves.

What comes after

Start with the audit. Go further only if it's worth it.

Most people install the quick wins themselves and stop there, which is the point. If the audit turns up something bigger that would pay for itself, these are the two ways to get it done. Your £750 comes off the price of a build.

The kind of thing I build

Scoped and priced after the audit, once we both know what's actually worth building. Full detail on the services pages.

Answering enquiries fast

Every enquiry gets a useful reply in minutes instead of hours, with the details already captured and the follow-up booked.

Getting your systems talking

The same information stops being retyped between your inbox, your spreadsheets, and whatever you invoice with.

An assistant that knows your business

Your own tooling, set up properly

Questions, answered

How is this different from your other services?

This is the front door. The audit is where the quick wins get identified, the ones any business can install itself. If you'd rather have the deeper automations built for you, answering enquiries fast or moving data between your systems, that's the implementation build, and your £750 comes off the price.

What's the money-back guarantee, exactly?

If I can't find you seven hours a week of time savings within 30 days of the review call, you get every pound back. The prescriptions usually cost around £45 a month in tools. I'll put real hours on /proof when an audit has shipped; until then the seven is the guarantee, not an average.

Why not just use ChatGPT and work it out myself?

You can, and some of what I prescribe will be a ChatGPT subscription. What you're buying is the forty-five minutes and the report: which three to seven tools fit the way your week actually runs, what each one costs, and which to install first. On your own you would pick the ones you have heard of, in the order you found them. That's a weekend of research and a lot of dead ends compressed into one call, with a refund if the hours aren't there. At the other end, a custom build starts at £2,000 and this tells you whether you need one.

Do I need to be technical, or already using AI?

No. Most of the tools I prescribe take ten minutes to set up and need no technical knowledge. The whole point is that someone who runs these systems daily translates it into plain, specific steps for your business.

Who is this for?

Owner-run businesses of roughly 8 to 40 people, where the owner still makes the decisions and the week still runs on people. That covers estate and lettings, home care, solicitors, clinics, kitchen firms and trades, and it covers labels, managers, PR agencies and studios. The method is the same either way.

Want the checklist instead?

Not ready to book a call? Drop your email and I'll send you the Seven-Hour Week Checklist: six places an owner-run week actually leaks, and the tool that fixes each one. Free, no sales pitch.

What the audit gives back

8 weeks

of working time, every year. That is what seven hours a week adds up to once you stop counting it in hours.

7 hrs × 46 working weeks = 322 hrs = 8.1 working weeks

£750 once, credited against any build. Fewer than seven hours found, and you pay nothing.
